Hello, I'm Steve
« on: March 27, 2010, 01:37:29 AM »
Hi all, once again welcome to make-up fx forum.  I've just realised that's an acronym for "muff", it's worth mentioning before anyone else does.

I did a months work experience back in 1996, after art college which overlaped into a couple of years fixing car panels' I started work in fx, late in 1999 and haven't stopped since.  I don't specilaise in anything in particular, just happy to take a job from A-Z or muck in where needed.

I like tools, tea and tidying up.  I dislike harmful chemicals, urathane, fibre glass and most of the other muck I work with everyday.

Enjoy the forum

lol I'm so happy you acknowledged the "muff"
So come over to my house
Catch up over dinner
We're having strychnine and sirloin
Port wine and paint thinner
You'll convulse through the chorus
It's the song of the sinner

Haha I love it, definitely gonna be hitting this post again!
It's not about the money you have or just the art your capable of making, it's the effort your willing to put in and the smile on your face because you love what you're doing.

Hello Mr Scotton
Sorry i dont visit too often but have an interest in this art form :-)
Got zombified on Wednesday via students on Mr Bray's excellent course.
interested mainly in the lab articles. Project i have is to get a werewolf suit done but unsure how to tackle it under a restrained budget.  told latex suit maybe or using spandex type covered in latex then fur.  hmmm. open to all ears ;-)

Cheers

started the ball rolling. got impressions of me teeth done this week and sent a copy of positives  to Steve Bosworth for a set of werewolf teeth along with other impressions :-)
surprising how you get used to stuffing yer moosh with dental trays  with alginate. lol.
head is next on the cards to sculpt on BUT at the mo, house needs a bit of attention - bother.

is there a generic head form available over here to sculpt on?
