For some reason the default setting for your personal messaging outbox will not save a copy of any messages you send to a saved outbox folder.
Easy to fix though:
Select - Profile> Modify Profile > Personal Messaging
Check the box “Save a copy of each personal message in my outbox by default”
Now a record of all your out-mail will be saved.
