Newer style zombie/ or casualty type makeup
« on: October 26, 2011, 04:08:33 AM »
Created these gelatin wounds from my own sculptures and molds. I also placed one of my own transfers above my brow area to help the overall appearance. Just used some cheapy walmart blood and some ben nye fresh scab/ thick blood. Let me know what you guys think :)

Looks great.  These are so much better than the shots on you FB page.  Love the textures, and the application is great.

These look really nice! What kind of gelatin are you using?

My gelatin prosthetics is made with the cheapy ol knox you can get from the grocery store. Although the 300 bloom is going to be one of my next coming purchases. I've only ever had trouble once with knox being used for a prosthetic and I'm leaning towards it wasn't sealed. I sealed both sides of these pieces with final seal by ben nye.

I usually just seal mine with ProsAide.  I often only seal the side I am painting though.  I find 300 bloom much more stable.
